Description
The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. This was a children’s picture book, written in 2005 by Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell, and illustrated by Coë Steinwart. The book tells a Christmas-themed story, written in rhyme, that explains how Santa Claus knows who is naughty and nice.
Don’t forget to give your new elf a name! That’s half the fun. Once he’s properly named, then he can start his job reporting to Santa at the North Pole each night, and make his official arrival in your home. The naughty elf visits at night and gets up to all types of shananigans. Obviously this is where the parents come into play. They need to move elf around during the night where he gets up to naughtiness, or cuteness.
